Hal Junior: The Secret Signal

The Secret Signal is a middle-grade (upper primary) science fiction novel set in the distant future. The protagonist - a boy called Hal Junior - lives aboard a huge space station.

The Secret Signal explores what life might be like for an average boy living in the future. There are many science-fictional concepts in the novel, from robot teachers to starships, but they're introduced in a casual fashion without resorting to paragraphs of technical information.

The Secret Signal also focuses on the scarcity of resources in space, and the need for mending, maintaining and recycling.
